LCPC, Maryland

In-person, Frederick + Baltimore | Telehealth

Shannon is a relational and trauma-informed therapist in Maryland who offers an authentic, compassionate approach rooted in psychodynamic principles. She focuses on understanding how past experiences and early relationships shape present behaviors, weaving cultural awareness and individualized care into every session. Shannon supports adults facing trauma, PTSD, complex trauma, depression, anxiety, relationship challenges, and grief.

As an EMDR therapist and psychedelic integration therapist serving Maryland, Shannon specializes in working with altered states of consciousness, offering preparation and integration support for psychedelic experiences and Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy. Whether you are returning from an ayahuasca ceremony, integrating a psilocybin retreat, processing an MDMA experience, or preparing for ketamine therapy, she walks alongside you as you weave the experience into daily life. She believes deeply in the healing potential of individuals and the wisdom of natural medicines.

Shannon's eclectic theoretical approach blends EMDR, psychodynamic therapy, somatic therapy, CBT, and parts work — exploring the unconscious mind, the impact of early relationships, and the mind-body connection. She incorporates mindfulness and body awareness to help clients regulate emotions and recognize bodily signals before reaching burnout, panic, or overwhelm. As a multicultural clinician, she brings cultural humility to every therapeutic relationship, honoring the diverse backgrounds and lived experiences her clients carry into the room.

In a culture demanding constant productivity and positivity, Shannon provides space for clients to experience all their feelings without judgment. Her goal is a collaborative, safe environment where clients can explore their thoughts and emotions, develop healthier coping strategies, and move toward a more fulfilling life — at their own pace, on their own terms.

Shannon is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) with a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Northwestern University. She sees clients in person at our Frederick and Baltimore offices, and virtually across Maryland. Most major insurance accepted. Free 15-minute consultation available.
