Jordan White
DrPH, MSW, Maryland
Dr. Jordan White is an integrative therapist who combines evidence-based psychotherapy with a public health and intersectional perspective. He specializes in working with children, adolescents, adults, and families from diverse cultural backgrounds, including LGBTQ+ and BIPOC communities, who are navigating trauma, ADHD, neurodivergence, attachment concerns, anxiety, depression, and life transitions. Jordan takes a collaborative, strengths-based approach that helps clients build practical skills, deepen insight, and foster resilience. He views therapy as an opportunity to clarify what is and what isn’t working in your life and map a path forward.
Jordan integrates Child-Centered Play Therapy, expressive arts, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), attachment-based interventions, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Motivational Interviewing (MI) to support emotional regulation, executive functioning, self-efficacy, and overall well-being. Drawing from a life course developmental perspective, he incorporates play therapy into treatment with children and adults to promote emotional regulation, strengthen social functioning, enhance coping skills, and facilitate emotional expression and processing.
He has worked with children, adolescents, and young adults through youth development programs, educational settings, collaborations with pediatricians and schools, and university teaching. He is pursuing the Registered Play Therapist (RPT) credential through advanced training and clinical supervision in Maryland and Washington, DC.
For adult clients, Jordan provides preparation and integration services for Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP). He has experience supporting clients receiving intravenous (IV), intranasal, and sublingual ketamine and completed provider training at the Alchemy Community Therapy Center in Oakland, California.
His background includes clinical trials, social and behavioral research, youth development, harm reduction, and interdisciplinary health research in the United States, Kenya, and the Netherlands. Jordan currently serves as a part-time Social Work faculty member at Capella University and previously served as an Assistant Professor of Social Work at Morgan State University.
Jordan earned his Master of Science in Social Work (MSSW) from Columbia University and his Doctor of Public Health (DrPH) from Johns Hopkins University. He is a Licensed Master Social Worker in Maryland. Jordan is a Certified Safe and Sound Protocol (SSP) Provider and a member of the Association for Play Therapy and the EMDR International Association. His scholarship explores resilience, mental health outcomes, and the social determinants of health, with a particular interest in how play, supportive relationships, and environments promote healthy development and psychological well-being.
Jordan sees children ages 5 and older, adolescents, and adults in person at the Baltimore office and via telehealth throughout Maryland.
